Lotus owns KIRN (K-Iran) in a Los Angeles suburb, and it holds, or it
held a C.P. for 35 kW DA-2 from a high-desert site near Lancaster,
with the major lobe directed right at downtown L.A.
Lotus reportedly paid KBOI to dramatically change its night pattern
(remove the existing four towers, install six new towers and their
associated phasor), which thereby would enable a very good NIF over
the entire L.A. basin.
Before, KBOI's major lobe was directed at L.A., with an equal lobe
towards Canada, a consequence of KBOI having to protect WMAQ, a co-
channel Class I-N in Alaska, and a first-adjacent Class I-B in San
Francisco.
The last time I drove through the Lancaster area, there had been no
work done on that C.P.
