[BC] HDTV BOX Redux

Problem:
(a) Finding best compatible HDTV "Box" for older TV without any auxiliary 
in/out connections.
(b) Limited funding. (New HDTV/DVD prices exceed funding.

Questions:
(a) What are the best 5 boxes offered?
(b) What are average prices?
(c) What boxes are best that have Analog feedthru?
(d) What is the best vendor yet found?
(e) Is audio carried on video "Box" output? If so, what is purpose of RCA 
audio jacks on "box?"

Note:
Local Radio Shack outlets have one model, no working displays. Sales people 
playing with football, eating, or standing around. Offer no help.

They disallow any demonstration, & won't open shipping carton.

Printed product specs. are vague.
