WLAC protects Boston, as they are one of two or three  (old) IIA stations.
IIRC, their night interference free contour is very low (2.2 mv).
As for the carrier offset, there's a reason for it, but I don't remember why.
Grady will be able to tell us.

They may not be that far off but they put a terrible fluttering on
WLAC's signal when WLAC is not burning up the front end of my radio.
And I hear them exceptionally well when for some reason WLAC is off.
And I am in a MAJOR lobe for WLAC. I noticed how pronounced it was when
they went non DA this morning.
