I can't say for sure but believe that Larry is correct.  The KBET 690 that
everyone heard playing the same 5 CD's mostly ABBA last year is also full
time generator last I heard.  KVEG-FM is way out in the desert in a valley
between LV and Mesquite (COL) so no surprise they can't get power.  While
Whitney is a true political community, it's fully surrounded by Henderson
and in reality no more of a separate place than Spring Mountain, Winchester
or several other places around here that call themselves cities.  The
airport, much of the strip and even where I live over by Sam's town on the
Boulder Highway are not in Las Vegas at all, but in Paradise.  My mailing
address is however, Las Vegas.
