Actually, if someone -- anyone uses a gun in a bad way, guns are bad.

If someone uses a gun in a good way, the gun is left out of the
story, or some other smoke is blown.

Take the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, CO. It was OK for
people to carry guns in the church, and with the permission of the
pastor a woman did. Matthew Murray, who had killed several people at
the church's missionary training school near Denver 12 hours earlier
showed up to kill more members of the church. Jeanne Assam shot him
non-fatally. He then killed himself.

Nearly all news reports said or read that Jeanne Assam was a
"security guard." Fox News reported she was a VOLUNTEER security
guard. The media just cannot accept the fact that good people with
guns is a good thing, and only want cops, or maybe security guards to
have guns, so they won't tell the truth.

There are many other examples, this is just the most recent off the
top of my head. Read John Lott's books for details.
