Ditto, here, but for more than 2 minutes at a clip. The transmitter at WFIF
is connected to its dummy load via about 10' of RG8. It has held up fine in
testing service for years. Of course, it's seldom used, and inside a (mostly)
climate-controlled building. I wouldn't even *think* of running 5kw thru the
stuff on a permanent basis, nor with it outside! 500 watts would be it, in an
emergency, and only for the minimum amount of time possible!
