[BC] BC-1G Advice

A quick note on the 1G, no taps on the plate
transformer. It was designed for 208 V AC. Most
folks have more than that. Hence, why I suggested
a higher plate voltage might be expected. I have
notes from many 1T, 1G and tube 1H boxes that was
the basis for the sample values in my earlier
post. These were from way back when I used to
travel for Gates and work on all sorts of
trannys. His 1G will work well with the slightly
higher plate volts.
Also no taps on the FIL transformer and it's easy
to get bad tube life with more than the 6.3 on
the 807's.
Easy to fix with a rheostat in series with the
FIL xfmr's primary, though.
Like the earlier post on the shunt in the ATU (a
Gates 44) for best power transfer. His line is 52
ohms. A bridge can set the input of the ATU to 52
ohms and let the transmitter tune for best match
into the 52 ohm line.
