I believe its Numark that has a new turntable model that has a USB audio
interface built-in.

That being said, I've been ripping my dad's vinyl collection into Audacity
and encoding in FLAC for a while now... more recently the jazz parts
(Jean-Luc Ponty, Maynard Ferguson, and the inimitable Herbie Hancock being
the most recent three last break). I use a little box from Rolls that has a
phono preamp and an 1/8" output, and rip them right onto the Dell computer
in the family room. Works pretty well!

If you're careful about cleaning the album (and it is in good shape) and
removing the more egregious pops and clicks, it sounds MUCH better than some
overly-compressed version you'd buy on the "digitally remastered" CD.
