I don't buy that many PCs, but when I have bought home machines (say,
HP Pavilion) they come with all the demo stuff you have to remove,
but the business machines (say, HP Vectra) came with the OS only. In
fact, I had such good luck with Vectra machines I bought a HP for my
home. I retuned the Pavilion. One funny thing was when one of the
installers came in to install a half dozen Vectra machines one was
MINE. He opened the case, stripped out all the finger stock and
proceeded to install more memory. I inquired about the finger stock
in my trash can. He said that it just got in the way. He ended up
fishing every piece of it out of all six trash cans and reinstalling it.
