Back then, KDKA was on 980, so the electrical heights work out to 260
degrees (total) tall, and 140 degrees over 120 degrees (two sections).
120 over 120 was found to be successful at WOAI (two separate
installations, the second copied from the first).
180 over 120 was (and still is) successful at WHO.
120 over 120 actually provides better skywave cancellation than either
180 over 180 (true Franklin) or 180 over 120, but at the cost of a
slightly lower horizontal field.
All of these are way, way higher than the minimum Class A efficiency.
