I guess I can make this offer here.
I have more than a few FM transmitters not in use at this time.
One is a 1 kW Nautel V-1, all set up for HD. It is a test
transmitter, so it can be loaned and not bother me a bit. It will do
1 kW of hybrid HD/FM and about 1800 Watts of FM only. It is designed
for this kind of duty. EVERYTHING, including the frequency can be
set up from the front panel.
I have a brand new Harris 25 kW FM (only) transmitter sitting at
Harris. I won't be needing it soon, so anyone can have it right now
and just have Harris build us a replacement. There is no hurry on
getting this one replaced or back.
I have a brand new BE transmitter sitting at BE ready to ship, but I
don't need it immediately, though I will soon. It is set up to do
about 7 kW hybrid. It is HD ready, but no exporter. Once again, it
can be had and you just have BE build me another. I cannot be
without this transmitter for long, so an order will have to be
immediately with BE.
I have a Nautel 10 kW in Placerville, CA. It was used for nearly two
years, and works fine. It is in a concrete precast building, and is
ready to go alone or in the building. I figure we are willing to let
either or both go for 60% of new.
Finially, I have some old stuff around the country, a CCA FM-1000D in
Forks, Washington, an Armstrong 1 kW near Cincinnati, and two 500
Watt complete PAs in Dallas. A public radio station can cry poor on
any of these.
If we can be of any help in getting someone back on the air quickly,
please e-mail and we will make it happen.
