Right -- Lake Arrowhead is the closest fire and is no problem for us here.
The wind is blowing the smoke away from us, and we can barely see it over
the pass. Most of our hotels are full of evacuees -- the hotels are
offering discounts. I'm sure it's a lot nicer to be enjoying the pools at
the Renaissance Esmeralda or Mariott Desert Springs Resort than sleeping on
a cot at Qualcomm Stadium. Some people took 7 hours to get here due to
traffic -- it would normally take about 2 hours.

*Inside Radio* reports KSOQ, the KSON relay for the North County, to be off
the air due to downed power lines. They are on the ridge south of San
Marcos (between Escondido and Oceanside). That would be what is called the
Coronado Hills Fire, above the California State University - San Marcos
campus.

They also report Univision's KLQV off the air on Mt. San Miguel. However,
the FCC database shows them on Mt. Soledad, so I am questioning that
statement. I have no word on the other stations on San Miguel.
