Question - That $18.00 CD - how many tracks? It seems that the
market has settled on an average of about a dollar a song; that $18
CD might have 18-20 tracks; in which case it's about right. That's
what I'm paying per CD for the Starborne Custom library; a dollar a
song seems about right, given inflation - Today's dollar is closer to
the $0.10 - $0.25 range of my youth - and that's what I typically
paid for a 45...
The $7.99 LPs were a bargain!
Of course, even then, artists, producers, and/or record companies
were not above filling an album with turkeys, with maybe one or two
actually good songs.....
