This is the message I received from Dell:

**********

Dear Mr. Johnson,

Thank you for contacting Dell Online Customer Care.

I understand from you email that you were unable to use the Microsoft Vista. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by you and I will certainly assist you in this regard.

As I further review the Dell Purchased ID number you have provided, 2000077580023, I see that it is for a new purchase which is currently in production. Are you referring for the old computer?

Please reply to this message with a detailed description of the issue that you require assistance with. I will be happy to assist you once you provide this clarification.

Please ensure that your customer account or order/invoice number is included with your reply.

Note: To purchase a new window XP software, you may call our Sales Department at 1-800-915-3355 or place an order online at http://support.dell.com.

This email refers to your case number 177900856.

We appreciate your patience, and apologize for any inconvenience. If you require anything further, please feel free to visit our website at:

When responding to me, please use the *REPLY* function of your e-mail program. This will keep the SAME SUBJECT LINE of our e-mail. Otherwise your message may be delayed or lost.

So, Why would somebody ask; "Are you referring for the old computer?" Ignoring the obvious
misuse of the word, "for," why would any human think I was referring to a computer that
was different than the one I purchased?!! I just don't get it. Cortez is not an Indian name.
