When I was growing up in Kansas City, the morning paper, The Kansas City
Times, the afternoon paper, the Kansas City Star, the first television
station, WDAF-TV ( I think it was an NBC affiliate), WDAF-AM, were all owned
by the same company.

conversation leads to the means of fixing prices and otherwise defrauding
the public". Adam Smith, The Wealth of Nations

Years ago virtually every large market had one or more
AM/FM/TV/Newspaper combos. We're just going back to the way it was ... sort
