There certainly should be a way to disable it. However, my
vehicle is a Hummer H2.

When I wanted to unstick a CD that hung the CD changer,
It took an entire weekend to take out the center console,
the radio escutcheon, and the radio. I should have
disconnected the antenna at the time because that's the
only time antenna bridging device is accessible. So,
I read some BLOGS on how to disable XM without going
through that again!

...Not advised.., but possible.
