That picture brought a kick of nostalgia for me - it's very reminiscent of the
old CKUA towers in my home town of Edmonton, though the CKUA setup was on a
smaller scale. The only online picture I can find is here:

When I was a youngster, I used to ride my bike over to the site and gaze in
awe up at those towers. CKUA had actually moved to a new site back in the
40's, but the towers were still in place, as was the little transmitter
building shown in the photo, both having been inherited by the university ham
club, VE6RR. The towers now held up a dipole (probably for 80m), and the
shack sported a tri-band beam. I never encountered anyone there, but I
remember peeking in the window to look at the gear. Later, when I attended
the university, the ham station and towers were still in place, and I was
able to operate VE6RR on many occasions (probably way too many!) from that
little shack during my freshman year. The following year, the towers and
shack were dismantled to make way for a new student's union building, and it
was the end of an era for radio signals emanating from the center of the
campus.
