Ok, I've got a question and a kind of unique situation here.
I am going to start offering airtime to members of our local community, our
local listening area (Abbeville-Greenwood) for $30/hr, which is way less
then our going rate. Why am I doing this? Because, I'd like to make it
appear like we are trying to do something for the community (and we are
trying) but that we still have bills to be paid, that we cant just give the
time away.
Does anyone have a script their station uses that could entice people to
call and inquire about buying time? I have no copy like that and I'm not a
terribly good writer.
The way I figure it, 1 hr a week, 4 weeks a month at $120 is a bit more
affordable then $200 for the same slot. And some money in unsold time is
better then no money at all.
Any help is appreciated!
