I also built one in the owner's garage. The "toaster coil" dummy load
allowed us to test it by plugging it in to the dryer outlet in the garage.
That was about 35 years ago. It's still used as a standby at the same
station. From http://www.bauertx.com , "One 707 was assembled during a NAB
convention in Washington, DC by a Kelly girl and that transmitter is still
in service today."
