Sil-Phos is definitely the way to go.

MAPP is probably best of the single-component solutions, but I always
used an acet-air torch for this purpose.

Perhaps the best setup is oxy-acet with a Victor "aircraft" handpiece,
and the appropriate sized heating tips.

Ultimately, it depends upon what one is doing, and if I was making a
nine-tower DA-2 phasor on-site and by hand, I would definitely be using a
Victor oxy-acet setup and Sil-Phos-ing all the hundreds of joints.

Sil-Phos has very good "gap filling" qualities.
