Once saw a contract that included this clause from one
of my clients, specificly for subcontracted engineering.

I let it be known "unofficially" ( the rumor mill can sometimes
be an effective tool ) that such a clause would end their relationship
with me, something that likely neither of us desired.

Somehow, that contract disappeared beck into their legal department,
never to be seen or heard of again.
My own council assures me that such a clause would be exceedingly
expensive to enforce anyway, and would likely be held void in the
 case of a subcontracter regardless.
Still, such problems are best avoided altogether.

Too many legal departments see themselves as god-like, and seem
to go out of their way to create unworkable "agreements" for everything.
