The only place I've heard of anything even REMOTELY like this is with the US
Military, in securing their networks in Iraq. ANY device connected to ANY of
their nets becomes US property.

However, if indeed this is the case with these folks, the question is easily
answered.... "take a hike".

Or, you can draft your own version of the same type of contract...each and
everything you work on for them becomes your property at first touch, and is
then automatically leased back to them at 5% of the current new replacement
cost/month....

There has to be more to this story, I'd like to hear it when you find out
what's really going on.
