I worked for the original GE Broadcasting in Boston. They were deeply 
involved in running stations and manufacturing equipment. They sold 
it off only to get back in later. Randy Bongarten was charged with 
selling it off twice. Then they bought NBC.

I suspect they'll get rid of NBC. The company approach is to dominate 
an industry or get out.
