Hummm,

That;s not what they are teaching in school anymore!
There are no longer any smooth waveforms, lines on
a pavement, or rays from the sun. Instead, everything
is made up of little chunks called quanta, with no
intermediate steps. There are no mili-quanta,
micro-quanta, nano-quanta, or pico-quanta, just
quanta. It's a shame because all the analog
people thought the word was smooth, with some
noise in the shadows for sure, but smooth after
all. Now, it's understood that the whole universe
is made of of DIGITAL chunks, sampled --no less!

It's even possible that the Universe as we see it
may be multiplexed so that we are only experiencing
events in our time-slot, but there may be other
time-slots where parallel events (universes)
occur. Because of this, time itself may seem
quantized into discrete steps, with no intermediate
values as well. scary!
