[BC] Tek 2710 Analyzer...

My reason for steering away from the 2710 is that it's oriented
towards the cable market and many of the "nice features" that are
included in the 2712 are optional in the 2710. Also, the bubble type
push-buttons on the 2710 were prone to problems where the 2712 uses
real push-buttons.

Many of the earlier Tek models such as the 7L5's had 300 HZ RBW. I
believe the reason that the 492x, 494x instruments did not have 300
Hz RBW is that they were primarily microwave instruments. I have a
494AP and I also have the Anritsu MS2721A. My primary use instrument
is the Anritsu but the 494AP definitely has it's place where it
shines brightly. I would not part with either one.

The earlier Tek models can still be repaired although it's
expensive. Parts can usually be found. Most of the newer
instruments you can buy today will be outdated and "not supported" in
about 5 years.
