Mopar ignition systems can create noise out the wazoo, especially when the insulation on
the wires gets some age on it
on the plus side, I've always found that if your battery has the ooomph to spin the
engine, a Mopar's high-energy ignition will generally fire it up
but I never had to change a plug wire on Chevies and Fords that I've owned, but it's
mandatory every couple years, both on the 318-360's I used to drive, and on the 3.3L in my
Voyager........and no Autozone/O'Reilly's/Advance 'bargain' wire sets, please, use NAPA /
CarQuest / OEM wires

back to the radios...I just replaced the JVC aftermarket in the V-ger with a plain-jane no
frills radio out of a 97 Neon
OUTSTANDING selectivity; I can sit in the middle of the KHMO site on 5 kW @ 1070 and
listen to KMOX on 1120, 50+ miles away
just a bit of de-sensitization, I can hear the audio level on whatever other station I'm
tuned to drop a bit as I get within 1/4 mile of the front of the array; with the JVC, it
was 'lights-out' at a mile away
