I guess I'm blessed to be able to say that I *do* work "back here". :) I can 
design/layout a studio based on the user's perspective, since in reality, 
*most* of my time at work was (and will be again) spent *running* the board. I'm 
just as comfortable behind the mic as I am in front of it, and I consider that 
a blessing, bigtime. 

Camera is a different story! I'm far more comfortable *behind* that. ;)

Yes, getting user input is most definitely important! Since I *wasn't* going 
to be spending any time running *that* board, I remember asking questions of 
the air staff back when I was doing some PT Engineering work for WADS. It is 
important to make *thier* jobs as easy as possible. It makes them feel better 
and sound better, which in turn makes *you* look better in the eyes of 
Management. :)

Hmmmm... that is, if the Management even cares. :(
