Willie brings up yet another point about upgrading to a solid state TX.  For
those of you who have gone from tube to SS it is sometimes amazing how much
of a difference it makes.  It really is like coming out from underneath a
blanket.  

There are some solid state AM TXs that are the most "FM-sounding" AM TXs out
there.  There's one particular brand I liked on one of our stations but
being that I work for an equipment vendor now I don't want to mention the
brand name lest I seem like I'm playing favorites.
