Compared to Paul's Inovonics 222 (used alone!?), almost anything would be
a major improvement.
The PMC-950 is the triband mono limiter. The stereo version was the
SMP-950. Earlier dual-band versions were the PMC-400 and SMP-900.
My "resistor mod" makes a MAJOR improvement in the performance of the
PMC- and SMP-series CRL AM limiters:

I haven't tried it on an Amigo AM. The Amigo should be functionally
equivalent to a SGC-800 stereo AGC combined with the SMP-950 C-Quam matrix
limiter, but CRL may have made some changes/improvements along the way,
which might make the "resistor mod" unnecessary.
