Bose does not make car radios.  And they probably don't even make car
speakers, either.  They just certify the car's amplifier and speakers to
meet Bose standards, and then the automobile manufacturer gets to put the
BOSE logo on their radio, regardless of who actually made the equipment.

For example, Volkswagen used a radio built by Panasonic (Matsushita) and
sold it as two versions: one with a BOSE logo on the faceplate, for use in
VWs with the Bose-certified sound system, and one without the BOSE logo,
for VWs with the regular speaker system.  These two radios were totally
identical except for the logo on the faceplate!
