[BC] Should terrestrial broadcasters embrace satellite broadcasters?

Oh, sure !
Me, I'm an engineer. A facillitator.
I don't generate content. I support those who do, BUT....
it's mostly because they use the pipes I build.
The MW and VHF bands will always be there, carrying something.
Maybe not entertainment as we know it today, but something......
.......and me, and them like me, will still be building the plants that do
whatever it is that they will do.
AND.....
Wherever the "content" goes, internet, Ipod, or cell phone, I'll still
be building those studios, too !
The future is bright !
For me, I'll have TWO markets to pick and choose, instead of only
one as is now.
I'm not sure I can handle that much work.
Probably, I'll have to hire a few more.......
Sadly, the article to which you refer, 15 years ago, seems too much doom-saying.
How I wish it would just happen faster !
