I'm going to get some pictures for Barry of the site. Maybe he can post them somewhere so all interested can see them.
When built(mid 70's), the site was well engineered and quite comfortable. Central heat and air, bathroom, and indoor generator room with what I assume used to be a working Perkins diesel generator....not bad for Atlanta's only other 50,000 watt station in those days.
A DX50 was installed in the early 90's along with a Gates One for night operation.(70 watts) The site has seen better days.....I wish I had the time and budget to take it back to the "glory days!"
Anyone coming through Atlanta who wants to visit is welcome.....buy me lunch and I'll gibe you the tour.
