WSB hasn't had an old Western Electric for many years. Their WE 407 was replaced by a CEC Model 317B with the WE 407 as a backup. The 407 was replaced by a 317C transmitter befoe they move to the new building into the shopping center, When the moved to the new transmitter building next to the tower they had the two CE 50 kW's, 317B and 317C along with a rented CEC 315R-1 5kW.

WSB's signal is pretty poor in many directions because of the Stone Mountain
granite formation which underlies the whole area (Granite overlaid with red
Georgia clay.) It can be heard, though quite noisily, in Columbia both day
and night. .
Though it is quite likely, I don't know if they once had a WE. But they did
have Continental 317B # 7 (removed in the late 80s or early 90s), then a
317C (or two) and then a DX-50 or two.
