Both statements seem to be true and valid to me. It appears to me that for
any technology
to properly supercede a previous one, it must offer benefits, and few, if
any detriments.
I'd be all over the digital AM idea if this were indeed true with IBOC. But
it isn't, (yet?).
Now, if it can BECOME true is yet to be seen.
