Yes, Burt, but the other shoe has yet to drop. I doubt the FCC will
ever mandate going to full digital broadcasting, but that doesn't
mean they won't do it in another way. 

Consider the result if, after another 7 to 10 years, they begin 
increasing the digital power level over a period of time so that 20 
years from now it is increased by 15 or 16 dB. They could also stop 
permitting NEW analog only stations, doing all of this in the name 
of new, modern **digital** technology. This way, Ibiquity will never
have to open the technology and the FCC won't technically be 
supporting a proprietary scheme until the hybrid mode is done. Then,
when it is all digital, Ibiquity will probably have a lock at the
chip level. That appears to be the way they are going.

DRM needs to get into the act soon.
