Drm uses AAC plus with SBR. It is said to be very similar to the HDC 
codec except that DRM can deliver up to 72 kbps so the rate is not 
necessarily fixed.  There are also two lower quality voice only codecs 
possible. One is an a distant cousin of adpcm and the other is a vocoder 
based algorithm. These codecs work at DRMs lowest bit delivery which is 
about 4 kbps.
