[BC] Skywave dying

I'm going to hang in there as long as I can. Right now, the big boys
like Lew Dickey, head of Cumulus, with his 1000.00 suit and 200.00
hairdo, and loves pictures of himself in the trade magazines, can't make
me do a damn thing.
I'm 20 miles from WLAC's and WPLN's site, so up here in town, the
SHSHSHSHS is not so bad, but I'm afraid it's going to get worse, as the
co-channel stations at night fire up.

Really, I think it's over. We're done. The big guys can do what they
want, I'll be drowned in the prop wash. I'll be lucky to cover the
parking lot - and it ain't that big. Looking at my 3 tower directional
on 6 acres of land. If I scrap the towers, and pull up the copper, sell
the xmtrs to a local ham, demo the building and donate the land to the
city for a dog park........the revenue and tax write off for the
donation.....means I'll have more money than the station is worth. Maybe
I'll take up woodworking for a retirement hobby. AM was fun while it
lasted. Now it's been killed by empty suits who regulate an industry
they don't understand and could care less about. The big guys will
survive because they own the guys in the empty suits. More small
communities will be abandonded. We're done I fear. It's been fun while
it lasted.
