[BC] "24" At the tansmitter site

I noticed on tonight's episode of 24 that it was shot in an AM TX 
facility, looked like a 50KW'r presumably in the LA area. Seeing what I 
thing was an old Gates transmitter and the back of something quite a bit 
newer, I would say this is an active AM site. The Exterior (which may or 
may not have been the same building they were inside of) Had 50000 WATT 
STATION on the front of the building, But it only had ***'s where the 
you would think the call letters would be. I only saw 3 stars so could 
this have been a 3 letter call station?
They called it a "Relay station" but it sure looked like a MW broadcast 
facility to me.  LA area engineers I'll be someone knows the truth so 
spill the beans!! :)
