All the recent Macs have Intel processors and can boot into a Windows  
partition if you like. Data and connection resources can be shared  
between the OSes. If you use "Parallels" you can even run the Windows  
programs on your Mac desktop. Pretty seamless.

IOW, you don't have to buy all new software.

Best of all, Apple is rated first or second in customer service in  
every survey I've ever heard of. <http://www.pcmag.com/

So even if they have problems, Apple's service is better than most  
(and it's based in the US).

I bought a refurbished Powerbook from Apple a few years back for  
about 3/4 the new price, with the same warranty as a new one. Still  
has no problems.
