sounds about right - the switching PSU's that they use are very
difficult to repair after failure (in my experience I tried but
replacements arrived before I got it rebuilt).
In my case the unit just quit at 22:00 on a Friday - the unit was back
on Tuesday 12:00. BTW I had a Rev 1 PSU and they re-engineered the
design a few times after this one quit. We found a couple Rev 2's (that
required the addition of a 12V XF) and bought a complete Rev 3 assembly
(the design changed that much). The last time I saw it (a couple of
years ago) the new assembly was still on the shelf.
