That's interesting. When I lived in the Texas Panhandle, I was able to pick
up quite a few clear channel stations (yes, they really had them then, with
no capital letters) including KFI 640, WSM 650, WMAQ 670, WGN 720, WSB 750,
WHAS 840, WWL 870 and WCBS 880 -- between 1000 and noon local time. I
suspect the D layer wasn't doing its job.
