willie,

why don't you move down between 3600 and 3700? it's wide open down there.
No lids (yet). some AM beginning to happen there now. just leave the junk
up near 3900 behind....walk away.

Actually, I think even the "worst" of the the crew here would make a
considerable IMPROVEMENT over some of the garbage going on on 75M AM! <:o

Seriously. :)

What we really need are to get a lot more *good guys* on the air, to "push
aside" the clowns. Not literally, of course... just the mere fact that there
would be *many* Broadcasters on the air and having good discussions, will
cause one of several outcomes-

1) The clowns will be "shamed" into behaving like adults and not pubescents-
they might even learn something. (Best-case: Learn that proper operating
etiquette really is the best way.)

2) They will continue to act stupid, and stand-out even more than the sore
thumbs they already are

3) They will start jamming us

4) They will find something else to do, or another band/frequency to inhabit

As for the Morse Code being gone... that is absolutely true! There is now no
more reason for Broadcasters to use it as an excuse for not getting their
Ham tickets. Rich Wood is already a licensed ham. I don't know if he has the
gear to get on the lower bands, but it would be nice to chat with him
there... along with a good number of the rest of ya!

I have a 55 watt homebrew AM transmitter that I love to use, and have been
getting some interesting comments and compliments on ever since I put it on
the air and on the WEB. :)

So go to it... get your Ham Licenses, everyone, and get on the air with some
of those old rigs your employers are begging to be rid of! Let's start an AM
Revival of the *Good Guys* on 75M AM! :)

Willie...
