This decision is likely to sink small listener-supported webcasters
like Radio Paradise:

I reviewed some of the record company testimony that lead to this
decision and disagree with most of it.  (Maybe I'm being too kind
here, they really are a bunch of liars.)  A compensation system based
on percentage of streaming revenue would have been much more
equitable.

I'm writing to my senators and representative about this later today.
