Yep, I've seen that done, too. I've got one Comtech 3.8m dish out back. It's 
been set for ten years now in two different locations, & it's been solid as 
a rock. No guys, never had a problem with it moving. I've seen winds to 60 
here. It's mounted on an 8' piece of 5" pipe in a 1/2 yard of concrete, as 
suggested by Comtech. I'd hate to see the wind that WOULD move it!
