What (name deleted) needs to learn is to STOP harrasing station onwers and managers about what time a station signs on in the morning and what power they are running. In reality, it's none of his business! He sticks his nose in other station's technical problems and operations.
(snip)
Well, I guess I would be in a similar place, then. When I am aware of flagrant violations of Daytime Only or PSRA power, I will make a stink about it, too... and I'm 44, and have been in this business for 20 years, now.
What gives station X the right to flout the FCC Rules governing their sign-on/off and power levels, while Station Y obeys all of the Rules? What's good for the goose is good for the gander. If we're complying with the Rules, then doggone it, so should *they*.
And if (name deleted) weren't complaining to the station owner, but rather documenting everything and filing formal complaints to the FCC, would that be better? Would a letter from a guy trying to do some station owner a favor be worse than an NAL from the FCC? I'd much prefer the former, thank you.
Willie...
