Somich was a rock star as well.  I marvel at some of the things he modified
and the loudness he created with his processors and airchains.  He, Gary
Blau and Ed Buterbaugh rolled some great sound over the years.  I know one
station on Long Island using a Banshee IV.

His article is something to read if you cherish audio processing like I do.
There is so much including the PROGAR (which I had never heard of) to an in
depth discussion of the GE BA-5, which RCA purchased and RCA-afied.  This
article is for sure a keeper... and so was Jim's wisdom.

A sad day indeed.
