[BC] Why an older transmitter may be a good choice

Robert, we have a 1960 Standard 3-kW FM sitting here at the studio and I
just dust it out once in awhile.  Yes, it still works -- we had to put it on
the air last month when there was a major power outage on the mountain that
took everybody off the air.  Coverage was not the best, but it was better
than nothing.  I would like to get a proper UPS and generator to keep our
mountaintop 500-watt solid-state rig up and running, but right now the old
rig is all we've got to cover such outages.  And it doesn't get much
exercise.
