With a call like w3am i guess you're not biased in favor of a ham giveaway 
are you hi hi.
I considered the tuner possibility but there are lots of complex Z 
situations that a tuner will not be able to get to 50 j0, however, unless a 
station is in tornado alley, or Ice City, the odds (assuming the tower is 
maintained) of needing the tube rig in an emergency are so low that you are 
probably right.
