[BC] sats merger

If XM hired the best programmers, what did they do with them? I have
had XM almost since day one and I have always found the programming
uneven and frustrating. There is not one channel I can think of that has
any consistency other than a few of the dance channels. It sounds to me
like overly egotistical programmers playing radio. When I got Sirius I
found it some what of a relief. Certainly much better than XM but not
really up to being worth what I pay for it. Most people I know are
Sirius subscribers. I think the numbers them self show the trend; two
years ago XM had double the listeners than Sirius now it is something
like less than 20% more.

Unfortunately Sirius is very inferior technically to XM both in quality
and coverage. That is saying a lot since I recently rented a Hummer with
XM included. The quality was so bad on that sound system (which was
pretty decent) I couldn't listen to some of the channels. In fact every
rock channel was unlistenable. I usually listen to either service on two
inch speakers which seems to be about as big as you can get and be able
to tolerate the artifacts.

Here is the beauty of the merger, Keep all the XM technical people and
their systems and have the programmers walk the plank. Then go clean
house on the technical side at Sirius.
