I was amazed. I moved there from Boston. WFAA had a great morning 
show and friends of mine helped produce the KNUS fantasy concerts. 
They were so beautifully done that you'd swear every major singer of 
the time had gathered in Dallas for this concert. I think McLendon 
still owned it with KLIF. KAFM (known as K-FM) introduced me to 
Progressive Country and the Willie Nelson gatherings.

It was another exciting radio market back then.
